Silence doesn’t equal humility

We all need to master the art of humility. The best person to learn humility from is the man named Moses. Numbers 12:3 says "Now the man Moses was very humble, more than all men who were on the face of the earth". The only man to be recorded as being very meek, meaning humble. Let's talk through how Moses was described in the bible and what humility looks like.
Humility is not when you are without money, powerless or without influence. You can be the most influential but still be humble. You can be the most handsome and still be humble. You can be rich and wealthy and still be humble. Being humble is having these things and not seeing yourself, in your own eyes, as greater than the next. It’s difficult to exercise humility when you’ve not been entrusted with great success, rewards and capacity; in which have the ability to either reflect pride or humility. Moses was carrying a Spirit that was divided among seventy elders, and when it rested upon these elders instantly they could not help but prophesy. This was a Spirit that Moses held so calmly. He could've easily mocked them by saying no one can control just a fragment of the Spirit I carry, instead he wanted to share this experience others. He wasn't looking to be the greatest or deepest man of God alive but he wanted more people on earth that could do what he could. To share the load let’s say and distribute the work of God.
In Numbers 11:26-29, Eldad and Medad remained in the camp and the Spirit rested upon them, then they also began to prophesy. This was reported to Moses and Joshua the son of Nun told Moses to forbid them from doing so. Moses then replies in verse 29 saying, "Are you zealous for my sake? Oh, that all the Lord’s people were prophets and that the Lord would put His Spirit upon them!”. Now if he remained silent, they would not have understood that they were being zealous and without the knowledge of His Grace.
“Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and He will lift you up.” ~ James 4:10
The more we humble yourself, God will Himself exalt you! It is better to be lifted by God rather than to lift yourself up. You’ll realise the more you lifts you, it the more you may look low or weak in the sight of man. And that’s okay. The way God sees you should be your main priority.
My husband had the opportunity to attend a court when he was being sued for something that he was not in the wrong for. He had evidence and documents, in which he had agreed with the client. This included signing to say they are aware this company do not issue refunds and were happy to proceed. Upon the client having their own issues at home, decided to file for a refund again and again and insisted to take it to court. My husband, always acknowledging God, decided not to take this case to court and issued them a refund, regardless of him being in right standing. Sometimes humility won’t make sense and may tarnish your character before people but when Gods acceptance goes before the acceptance of man, you begin to recieve greater. He later was rewarded with double what he refunded the client immediately after.
“But He gives more grace. Therefore He says: “God resists the proud, But gives grace to the humble.”” ~ James 4:6
I pray your obedience to God rewards you! I pray you maintain a humble character and put God before all actions and decisions you make! May pride and selfish be far from you IJN!
Stay blessed D x
